Easter Egg Hunt/Progress

Easter Egg Hunt/Chili Cook Off

The family had a ball at the easter egg hunt today. My daughter bounced for SO long, she was very tired once she got in the car (went fast to sleep after she ate all the candy from her easter eggs). I didn't taste any of the chili for the cook-off (not even my DH's). He didn't win and was very disappointed.

Progress

I haven't been by the house all week. Here are some requested pictures. This week the following took place:

  • Garage Doors
  • Power On
  • Wood (foyer, kitchen, morning room)
  • Carpet
  • Staining of stairs
  • Appliances (except Fridge)
  • Faucets

Stain on stairs matches the floors

I wonder what MOFO broke my cabinet door. I am sure my PM already has another one on order. You know I will be on his phone Monday morning.

LOVE the floors!!

The first thing I am replacing are those darn WHITE outlet covers...HATE IT (especially the one on my peninsula)!

Master Bath

Guest Bath

Another thing that I thought I could live with but must replace immediately is the formal dining room chandelier. I plan to shop for lights tomorrow. I will add this chandelier to the list.

HAPPY EASTER!!

  2. I don't like the dining room light either. Already looking at lowes. Had my inspection today and noticed that white outlet too! Ugh! Changed! In my mind, I have spent 10 grand at Lowes before I even have keys! Smh. Not gonna happen. Lol

  5. Looks fabulous! Yeah, why would they put light colored outlet covers on dark wood??? Love the tile in the guest bath...didn't even think about putting tile in there when we were picking our options. By the way, just for the record, I think your hubby had the best entry in the chili cook off. :)

    1. Thanks! He tried a new recipe this time. We will invite you over for his regular edition. He's also an awesome barbecue cook!

  6. Ditto on the outlet covers, but fyi you will need to replace the entire receptacle, which if you dont have any experience with electrical updates you might want to farm out. A couple of real challenges would be the gfci outlets and the kitchen main light which is probably a 3-way switch.

    1. Thanks. Didn't even think about that. The electrician will be out after we move in for the under cabinet lights. I will add this to the list.

  7. Congrats on being so close to completing the house! We really liked the Verona too when we were deciding on plans. We're in the process of getting rolling on our Avalon Isle on Taney Way, right around the corner! Looking forward to getting in there. Love the look and feel of the community. Take care and nice to read another happy Rosemont home owner moving in!
