However, I'm not sure how you add extra insulation to the walls. So, the walls are made of 2x4s (which are actually 3.5 inches thick--weird right?)and one strip of insulation pretty much just fits in the wall. I suppose it is squishy so you could smash it down and add another piece, but it wouldn't be easy (and it would definitely be noticeable when you have a big ol' piece of insulation sticking out. I'd love to hear how someone had it added. The only thing I could think is that they had a different R number installed.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12125681376139350636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5222292865039220972.post-74442295890077383252013-01-21T23:54:41.083-05:002013-01-21T23:54:41.083-05:00As others have mentioned, install the insulation t...As others have mentioned, install the insulation the night before the drywall will be hung. Check the insulation that is already installed in the garage for the correct "R" number and purchase from Home Depot or Lowe's. Talk to your PM. Get his feedback and handle your business. ;-) RickandNadasehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17440625366611097007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5222292865039220972.post-86192405395063453202013-01-21T23:52:50.382-05:002013-01-21T23:52:50.382-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.RickandNadasehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17440625366611097007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5222292865039220972.post-80636077216151503732013-01-21T22:14:59.905-05:002013-01-21T22:14:59.905-05:00I'm interested in that too. It would keep the sound down and it may help with heating/cooling issues that I've recently read about. Joey's Planshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15365429310183394654noreply@blogger.com
